Devin: I got an assignment from Zen. Apparently some demons living on an island have been behaving strangely.

Devin: I don't know much about old fairy tales, but... yeah, probably.
Devin: From what I've heard, they're basically a gentle race.
You: B-basically... Okay...
Devin: Zen says the whole purpose is to broaden [BF name]'s mind. But we can't very well send him alone.
You: Hmm~... Alright. I'm a little scared, but I'll do it for [BF name]. As long as we stick together, we'll be fine... Right?

Story 1 – Rising Suspicions
You: Looks like we've come pretty far inland...

Devin: It feels so much different from where we were before. It's kind of amazing.

Kagura: Well, look at it like this. Culture isn't static, right? It changes for humans and demons alike.

Young Demon: ... Are you human? What are humans doing in this domain?
Ryu: We uh... We just came to check out a few things. Won't take long.
Young Demon: You must be surveying this land to plan an invasion!

Young Demon: The rumors are true! You possess the magic stones! Demons, capture them!
You: Ahh! We're being surrounded!

You: It should be pretty safe to move, yeah...? Alright...

Ryu: Abort! Abort! Run for your lives!
Soma: Stop. Our meeting is fortuitous. I need to discuss a rumor with you, humans.

Kagura: Hmm... I don't really know what you're talking about, but the shelter is appreciated♪
You: Uh... I-I'm a little, um... terrified. But I suppose it's better than being caught by that other guy...
Soma: I haven't introduced myself. My name is Soma. I am one of the Chieftains of my clan. So, what were you hiding from out there?

Soma: ... I see. You were chased, completely unprovoked, by some of my clan members.
Dio: The first one that chased us mentioned some sort of 'rumor'. Do you know what that's about?
Soma: That's precisely what I wanted to ask you.
Soma: I believe it may be a story about a young demon who visited a human town at one time.
Soma: There, it is told that this young demon had magic stones thrown at him by the villagers.
Soma: I heard that this has been happening in more than one place.
Ryu: What?! If this sort of thing was pampant, I'd think we'd have heard of it...
You: ... Ah. I, um... Soma, did this happen around February, by chance?
Soma: Hm? I'm not quite sure, but it's possible, yes.
You: If it was, then it's just Setsubun! We throw beans, not magic stones.
Soma: 'Setsubun'? What is that? Throwing beans, you say?
You: Well, Setsubun is...
Soma: I see. Come to think of it, we had that sort of ritual when we were at peace with humans.
Soma: It would seem our young friend has misunderstood the situation.
Devin: That all made sense to you?
Soma: Yes. Unfortunately the young one is the only one who saw what happened, so I have no further details.
Soma: In this case, the demon you encountered was likely shocked to see humans in our territory, and believed we were being invaded.
Kagura: Good work, sweetie! It's a good job we brought you along♪
You: Call it luck, ahaha...
Soma: The head Chieftain needs to be informed of this... He has been quite worried. Would you mind telling him your story?
Ryu: The head Chieftain, huh...?
Soma: You'll see what he's like... He's a bit fickle, but all in all he's quite trustworthy.
Soma: What time is it...? He should be by the pond right about now. I will give you a map to guide you. ... I apologize for your inconveniences.
You: It's not an inconvenience, really. Thank you for listening to us. Well, boys. Shall we go?
Story 3 – There Is Always Kindness
Ryu: The map says we should be just about there...
Devin: Did we miss the pond somehow...?
You: I-I don't think so... There's a small path over there! Maybe if we go down there...

Shura: Yes, I'm Shura, head Chieftain of the local clan. Well, Soma takes care of most things for me, so I mostly sit about admiring the scenery, haha!
Kagura: I thought you'd be a lot scarier, but you seem like a decent fellow♪
Shura: Haha! I hear that a lot! All the same, I am the head Chieftain.
Dio: ... At the very least, you seem easy enough to talk to.
Shura: I apologize on behalf of our jumpy clan member. This has all caused quite a kerfuffle!
You: N-not at all! We should have explained our presence better from the start...
Shura: Be that as it may, I'll tell the others what's really happening here. I hope you'll forgive them for their haste.
Ryu: It's nobody's fault, really. We came unannounced into unknown territory.
Devin: Anyway, it seems we've done what Zen has asked.
Shura: Hm? Zen...? Did he ask you do to something here?
Dio: He said the demons were acting strangely and asked us to investigate why that might be.
Shura: I see. You came searching for the truth and brought it yourselves instead. I believe your problem is solved!
Shura: I'm pleased you're all such amicable humans! I hope we have pleasant relations going forward.
You: Agreed. I'm glad this all worked out!

BF: Well, I'm glad this all got resolved.
You: I hope the relationship between humans and demons continues to improve.
BF: Yeah. Hey, why don't we relax, maybe do a little sightseeing?

You: I saw a cute little cafe on the way here that I'd like to check out, too.

BF: I wanted to check that place out too. Let's stop there on our way around the island.
BF: Sure... Could we rest here a little longer though?
You: Yeah, sure. Are you okay...?
You: Are you tired...?
BF: No, no, nothing like that!
BF: This is just a really beautiful place... I wanted to spend a little more time here with you, [your name].
BF: Don't you think it's romantic to sit together, surrounded by beauty?

BF: After that, we talked about a bunch of stuff so... yeah, I guess I'm friends with them all, haha!
